How these work
The Sleep Calculator counts backwards in 90-minute cycles and allows about fifteen minutes to fall asleep, because waking at the end of a cycle feels easier than waking in the middle of one. The Pet Age Calculator uses the size-adjusted scale vets moved to, along with the epigenetic formula from the 2020 dog-ageing study — the old "one year equals seven" rule overstates a small dog's age and understates a large one's.
